Bodyboard rental in Faro: easy fun in the waves

Our bodyboard rental in Faro is the quickest way into the waves of the Algarve. You ride lying down, so there is no standing up to learn, and a few minutes in the shallows is enough to catch your first wave. It suits beginners, families and anyone who simply wants a fun day in the sea.

Where to go bodyboarding near Faro

The closest beach is Praia de Faro, on the sand island 3 km from our shop. When a swell comes in from the south, it gets small, friendly waves that are ideal for bodyboarding. For bigger surf, the beaches on the west coast are about an hour and a half away by car. How bodyboard rental works

First, book online, then collect your board at our shop 1.5 km from Faro Airport and pay when you pick it up. Parking at the shop is also free. In addition, renting two bodyboards gets you 10% off, three or more 15%, which makes it a good choice for families and groups. The Atlantic stays cool all year, so a wetsuit is a good idea outside the summer months.

Tips for your first session

Start in waist-deep water where the waves have already broken, and ride the white water before you try unbroken waves. Put your fins on at the water's edge and walk into the sea backwards, so you do not trip. In summer, bodyboard on beaches with lifeguards and stay between the flags. Rinse the board and fins with fresh water after use.
