Skate longboard rental in Faro: cruise the seafront
Our skate longboard rental in Faro is a relaxed way to explore the town, the seafront and the paths along the coast. A longboard is longer and more stable than a regular skateboard, so it is made for cruising rather than tricks, and it is easy to learn.
Choose your longboard
- 40" Retro Stripe: a cruiser for relaxed rides and smooth turns
- 46" Nature: longer and more stable, for gliding along boardwalks and seafront paths
- Both come with good-quality trucks and wheels, so the ride is comfortable
Where to ride
In general, smooth promenades and paths along the seafront are the best places to ride. Heading to the beach? Our guide from Faro Airport to Praia de Faro shows how to get there. Wikipedia explains how a longboard differs from a regular skateboard. We recommend a helmet, and please ride only where it is allowed.
How skate longboard rental works
First, book your longboard online, then collect it at our shop 1.5 km from Faro Airport and pay when you pick it up. Parking at the shop is also free. In addition, renting two longboards gets you 10% off, three or more 15%.
Tips for your first ride
Stand with your front foot over the front screws and your back foot near the tail, and bend your knees a little. Then push off gently and keep your weight centred. When you want to slow down, drag your back foot lightly on the ground. Start on a flat, quiet path before you head to busier promenades, and avoid wet or sandy ground.
